Altman’s World Reimagines Global Identity

Sam Altman’s Worldcoin project, now rebranded as “World,” focuses on creating a global identity verification system to differentiate humans from bots in an increasingly AI-driven world, one of the latest tech innovations aiming to improve online security.

The project uses iris-scanning technology through its Orb device, a tech innovation that has been upgraded for wider accessibility and faster AI performance.

Along with iris scans, World is introducing other verification methods, like using NFC-enabled passports, and plans to integrate its system into platforms like FaceTime and Zoom to help fight issues like deepfakes.

This follows earlier efforts to link the technology to its cryptocurrency, a bold move aimed at expanding both identity verification and financial inclusion through forward-thinking tech innovations.

Lesson of the Week

This week, we have a lesson from our unit, “Combine data with Python,” which will help you master merging with Python.

Question of the Week:

Why am I getting this error when trying to concatenate a list with an integer?

Select one

A) The error occurs because the list contains integers, and you need to convert them to strings before concatenating.

B) The error occurs because you are trying to concatenate a list with an integer. Lists can only be concatenated with other lists, not with singular values like integers.

C) The error occurs because the list is not empty, and you need to clear it before concatenating with the integer.

See if you’re right–the answer is at the bottom!

Microsoft Launches 10 AI Agents

Microsoft has announced the release of 10 new AI agents for its Dynamics 365 platform, designed to autonomously complete tasks in areas like sales, finance, and supply chain operations.

This tech innovation intensifies competition with Salesforce, which is also set to launch its own autonomous AI technology, Agentforce.

Microsoft’s AI agents are part of a broader move toward tech innovation and enabling AI to handle tasks beyond basic assistance, supporting business processes and driving growth.
