OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, have announced SearchGPT, an AI-powered search engine prototype poised to challenge Google. This innovative tool highlights the growing importance of data education in navigating and leveraging AI technologies effectively.
The prototype, initially accessible to 10,000 test users, aims to organize and make sense of internet information in a user-friendly manner, showcasing how data education can empower users to interact with AI-driven solutions confidently.
However, early reports indicate some inaccuracies, or “hallucinations,” in the demo results. This emphasizes the need for robust data education as users learn to critically assess and adapt to new technologies. Interested users can join the waitlist for future access as OpenAI plans to expand its availability and integrate it into ChatGPT.

Anticipating a market breakthrough, Max Space aims to outperform existing designs and secure a significant share of a multi-billion-dollar industry.
Their first mission, aboard a SpaceX rideshare vehicle, will demonstrate the largest inflatable structure ever sent to space.
$150,000 for Data Education!
QuantHub has been awarded $150,000 as one of the six winners out of 230+ in DARPA’s Building an Adaptive and Competitive Workforce track of the Tools Competition. This award will support further development of our Upskill platform and expanding data education, including hands-on learning activities.

Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist
Apple released the developer beta 1 for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 earlier this week. Those who are a part of Apple’s developer program can get early access to Apple Intelligence ahead of its release this fall:
- Open Settings on the device running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS 15.1
- Go to the Apple Intelligence & Siri menu
- At the top of the page, hit Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist.
- Hit the blue Join Waitlist button on the pop-up.
- When access has been granted, you can return to Settings and ensure the Apple Intelligence toggle is on.
