Ever wondered how to get better results from your Google searches? Here are a few useful tips and tricks:

  • Operators to Refine Your Search
    • Use quotations (” “) to search for the exact phrase
    • Add a tilde (~) in front of a word to find synonyms
    • Exclude terms with a minus (-) symbol
    • Find one result or the other with “OR”
    • Add “site:” to search a single website
  • Advanced Search
    • Want to skip remembering different operators? From the Google results page, click “Tools” then “Advanced Search” to bypass them.
  • Perform a Reverse Image Search
    • Simply drag an image to the search bar to find similar or matching images

There are also some easter eggs while using Google Search; try entering “Google in 1998,” or “Super Mario. Bros. 1985” for a fun surprise!
