ChatGPT’s Latest & Greatest AI Tools Are Here
OpenAI has introduced a new AI model, o1, designed to tackle more complex reasoning tasks.
It improves on previous models by using reinforcement learning and a “chain of thought” approach for better accuracy in problem-solving, though it’s slower and more expensive.
Early users of these o1 AI tools include ChatGPT Plus and Team, while developer access is costly, reflecting the model’s advanced capabilities in fields like coding and mathematics.
Lesson of the Week
This week’s lesson comes from our module, “Introduction to boosting productivity with AI.” It focuses on how AI tools can significantly enhance both personal and professional productivity by streamlining tasks such as content creation, data analysis, and decision-making.
Question of the Week:
What should you do when using AI to boost productivity?
Select one
A) Check to see how the AI tool collects, stores, and uses the data you provide to it
B) Jump in and start using the AI tool as long as it is well-known in your market
C) Rely on the AI tool with confidence, knowing AI operations are reliable and precise
See if you’re right–the answer is at the bottom!
SpaceX’s Historic Private Spacewalk
Jared Isaacman, an internet entrepreneur, and SpaceX engineer Sarah Gillis became the first private astronauts to walk in space during the Polaris Dawn mission.
The spacewalk, which was livestreamed by SpaceX, tested the company’s spacesuits and involved a brief exploration outside the Dragon capsule.
This marked a significant milestone in private space exploration, with all four mission members technically spacewalking due to the capsule’s lack of internal air.
Meanwhile, NASA prepares to head back to the moon in 2026.
Weekly Tech Tip
Get a Better Signal on Your Phone
-
-
Move to a Better Location: Step away from obstructions like metal objects or concrete walls and move closer to windows or go outside.
-
Remove Your Phone Case: Thicker cases can block the phone’s antenna and reduce signal strength.
-
Charge Your Phone: A low battery can make it harder for your phone to connect to signals.
-
Toggle Airplane Mode: Turn Airplane mode on and off to refresh network connections.
-
Restart Your Phone: A simple reboot can resolve signal issues.
-
Remove and Reinsert SIM Card: Cleaning or repositioning the SIM card may improve connectivity.
-
Update Carrier Settings: Check for carrier updates in your phone’s settings to improve network performance.
-
Reset Network Settings: As a last resort, reset your network settings to clear any connectivity issues.
-
Contact Your Carrier: Persistent problems may require assistance from your phone carrier.
-
Consider a Signal Booster: If all else fails, signal boosters can amplify weak signals at home or in specific rooms.
